Gao-Din

Gao-Din is a small and rocky island located ten miles off the western coast of Mog. It is home to the rogue city of Gao.

History

• Phaedran Origin: Originally established as a penal colony of the old Phaedran Empire.
• Abandonment: The colony was abandoned during the Cult Wars of the early New Age.
• Rise of the Rogues: The former prisoners salvaged an abandoned vessel and reinvented themselves as sea-roving pirates.

The Sea Rogues

The inhabitants of Gao-Din are known as the Sea Rogues.

• Reputation: Notable for their gallantry and swashbuckling style, distinguishing them from the more vicious Mangar corsairs.
• Primary Targets: They primarily prey upon Imrian slavers and the Farad.
• Leadership: Ruled by a figure known as the King or Queen of Thieves.
