The Displaced Peoples
A number of displaced peoples inhabit or traverse the territories of the Wilderlands. Most are descended from those who survived The Great Disaster, while others are refugees or members of dying races.
Notable Displaced Groups
These peoples often maintain unique cultural traditions and specialized skills:
- Bodor: Consummate musicians who possess the unique ability to perceive sound as colors.
- Nagra: A primitive folk renowned as expert spirit trackers.
- Rahastrans: A people skilled in the art of Cartomancy (divination through cards).
- Xambrians: Survivors of a near-extermination by the ancient Torquarans, they now operate as relentless wizard hunters. [^1]
- Kharakhan Giants: A tragic and dying race, the last remnants of the giants who once ruled the Kharakhan Wastes.
- Yitek: A race of nomadic tomb robbers who search the ruins of the Wilderlands for ancient treasures.
Common Origins
Despite their diverse skills, these groups share common threads:
- Abandoned Homelands: Many have no permanent country, their ancestral lands having fallen into ruin during The Great Disaster.
- Refugee Status: Some groups are composed of individuals who have fled the oppressive rule of the Quan Empire.
