The burned and blackened ruins of the city of Kharakhan stand as dismal monuments of a bygone era.

• A City of Giants: The city was once home to a race of giants. Their massive ruins now stand like tombstones across the landscape.
• Subterranean Treasures: The lower levels of the city are littered with oversized artifacts and curios of great antiquity.

Inhabitants: The Araq

The region is currently dominated by the Araq, a dangerous hybrid race.

• Origins: Created during the Forgotten Age as a hybrid of man and Sauran.
• Temperament: Warlike and extremely prejudiced, they regard all other races as hated foes. [^1]
